RNAS Culdrose Airday 2008

Friday, August 01, 2008

It wasn’t the best of conditions for an Airday this year...it was grey and wet with very low cloud but, despite the weather, the show was busy and attracted a great variety of aerospace and defence organisations including Bae Systems, Thales, Serco and Lockheedmartin. The airshow itself was unfortunately quite limited but the pilots at Culdrose did their best to put on a good show with plenty of Merlin and Sea King action and some impressive low flying from the RAF Tornado F3 before it disappeared in the clouds.

CADI enjoyed a good amount of interest from local businesses, community and other aerospace/defence organisations making the most of the opportunity to answer questions, hand out information and interact with other traders on site.

As a whole the Airday was successful, our presence at our local RNAS base was noted by the local community, local businesses and other aerospace/defence organizations. The aim was to improve public relations, connect with other aerospace defence companies and encourage local businesses to find out more about CADI – these key points were achieved with thoughts for the future.
