On the 30th May we will be holding a CADI members meeting, with David Rowse (BAE Systems) in attendance.....
CADI representatives will be flying out to Paris in June to attend the largest Aerospace show in the world.
In 2005 the show featured over 238 aircraft, 1926 exhibitors and attracted 223,000 official trade visitors. CADI will be taking a portion of the WEAF stand to promote the capabilities of the members, and increase exposure on the international stage....
Representatives from BAE systems and WEAF were delighted with the recent SC21 meeting, in which CADI members quizzed the speakers about the benefits of SC21 and expressed their opinions of the scheme. The response was overwhelmingly positive and emphasised the potential of involving Cornish SMEs in the Aerospace supply chain.
It was agreed that 6 CADI members would be chosen to participate in the programme which will initially involve a 12 week auditing process, followed by the creation of individual plans to develop the companies over a 12 to 18 month period.
The new CADI website is now up and running, providing a central resource for information on the newest members, past events and future diary dates, latest developments within the group, and much more. A members only login area incudes a forum, member messaging, company profiles, and several other useful features.
CADI representatives made the short journey to Weston Super Mare during February to rub shoulders with some of the main players from the aerospace industry at the WEAF annual conference and trade show. The CADI stand took a prominent position at the show and attracted substantial interest from several established contacts as well as some useful new contacts.
